For the last decade, the Joshua Nolan Foundation’s donors, volunteers and counsellors have provided a safety net to people at risk of, or affected by, su***de in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Together, we have made a real difference to people’s lives.
As with many small charities, the Joshua Nolan Foundation’s fundraised income was significantly affected by the pandemic.
Earlier this year, we had to suspend our vital counselling services and sadly, we have made the difficult decision to close the Joshua Nolan Foundation.
We are hugely grateful for the support offered by so many people and organisations over the last ten years, whose efforts have meant that the counsellors we worked with could be there for people when they most needed help.
We want to say a special thank you to JNF’s founder, Laura Nolan, who has given so much of herself to the charity. Her dedication, along with the support of our community, has made it possible to help countless people in Edinburgh and the Lothians over the last ten years.
Scotland is home to many mental health charities that each has a role to play in helping people navigate the most difficult moments in their lives. We hope that all those who have given their time and their support to the work of JNF will continue to support this vital ecosystem and together, continue to make positive change to people’s lives.
