We’re so grateful to our President, Her Majesty The Queen, for speaking so openly about her emotions following HIs Majesty The King’s cancer diagnosis. This film helps to shine a light on just how important it is that friends and family get support too. If someone you love has received a cancer diagnosis, we’re here with you. Just come in to our centre here in Edinburgh to speak with one of our experts, or call us on 0131 537 3131 🧡🧡🧡

This weeks Friday fundraiser is Ali’s Army who have raised an incredible £50,522.47 after supporters completed 100 challenges in 100 days.

Ali’s Army, was created by Megan Dudgeon to support her best friend Alix Aitken-Arbuckle, a 36-year-old mum of two from Edinburgh who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).

It was inspired by the first 100 days following Alix’s stem cell transplant, with each challenge representing a day of her recovery. Friends and family came together to complete challenges throughout that period, ensuring Alix knew she was being cheered on every step of the way.

The challenges ranged from mountain climbs, marathons and skydives to open water swims, cold-water plunges, knitting projects, inflatable dinosaur costumes and creative fundraising activities.

This is a unique and truly inspiring fundraising challenge, creating a powerful and supportive community around Alix and her family. On behalf of the entire team at Maggie’s Edinburgh, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part and to those who donated so generously. 🧡🧡🧡

We would like to say a HUGE thank you and well done to this weeks amazing Friday Fundraisers from The PT Hub 🙌🏻

These amazing lads and their clients have managed to raise a whopping £5,414 - an incredible amount.

They took on five marathons using the equipment in the gym AND running. Such a cool idea and really impressive acheivement!

Thank you SO much to everyone involved and all of those who sponsored the team.

This amount is going to make such a difference and enable us to continue to support people facing cancer and their families 🧡
