Sometimes, the cats who seem the hardest to understand just need the right person. 💚

Some of you may remember Renfield (previously called Stormzy). When he arrived with us, he was incredibly fearful and defensive. He preferred to stay hidden away, found people overwhelming, and we knew finding him the right home wouldn't be easy.

Fast forward to today, and Renfield is thriving. His family tell us he's now a chatty, affectionate boy who loves fuss and happily demands attention. With patience, understanding and the right environment, he found the confidence to let his true personality shine.

Now we have Coal looking for his perfect match!

Coal may not be the easiest cat to get to know at first, but that doesn't mean he won't be someone's perfect companion. With an experienced owner and plenty of patience, we're hopeful that one day we'll be sharing Coal's own happy ending. 🤞

Coal dreams of a quiet countryside home where he can explore to his heart's content with someone he can show his affectionate side too.

Earlier this month, Absolute BodyArt hosted a charity walk-in tattoo and piercing day in support of our Home and to celebrate their anniversary 🎉

Almost all of the fantastic artists donated their time and resources to make sure every penny raised went directly to us, and in just 5 hours, the team completed an incredible 21 tattoos and 9 piercings!

Last year, the event raised an incredible £1,455, and this year they smashed that total by raising an amazing £2,597! 😍

One supporter, Laura, said:
"A well put together event that raises awareness to adopt rather than buy, as so many animals are in need of homes, and every penny raised helps towards supporting those animals."

A huge thank you to everyone at Absolute Body Art, the artists who generously gave their time, and everyone who came along to support the event. Your generosity makes a real difference.

Sadly, demand has continued to grow, and we find ourselves needing to ask for your help again.

Stubsy is a delightful boy who loves the company of his people. He is sweet natured, gentle and loving so is sure to make a heartwarming addition to his new family.

Whilst mostly confident, he can find loud noises unsettling so it would be nice for him to have a calm home so he can truly feel settled. 🤞

Bailey is looking for someone who won't count legs, only cuddles 😂

He's a happy, confident boy who likes saying hello to everyone he meets! Despite having only 3 legs, he gets around with no issue and enjoys his walks though does tire easily so he would like easy access to his own garden where he can be given plenty of mental enrichment 💚

We're so grateful to have the continued support of Graeme & Nicola from Oldmangrey Illustration & Design, who have been wonderful supporters of our Home over the years.

Earlier this year, they sadly said goodbye to their beloved dog, Pip. In her memory, they've created a beautiful children's book celebrating the life and adventures of a very special Cairn Terrier 🐶

Pip's P-Mails follows Pip as she explores Edinburgh, sniffing out the "P-Mails" (p*e messages!) left by her friends and neighbours. It's a heartwarming story for animal lovers aged 0–7, with lots of laughs for adults too.

Even more wonderfully, every pre-order will support the animals in our care, with £2 from every book donated to our Home, or £5 from the top-tier bundle 🙌

Pre-orders close Tuesday 28 July, so if you'd like to grab a copy while supporting homeless pets, now's the perfect time.
