🌱 Exciting News from Lauriston Farm! 🌱
Lauriston Farm recently we took on an allotment and we're absolutely thrilled with the progress our wonderful volunteers have made.

Our next step is to start building and planting so we can grow fresh fruit and veg for our community veg shop.

To help us build our planters, we would greatly appreciate any donations of treated wood or timber. If you can assist us, it would mean the world to our project!

We're delighted to be welcoming clinical researchers this Wednesday, who would love to hear from people with lived experience of diabetes.

This is a great opportunity to share your experiences of managing diabetes, talk about what has worked well, discuss the challenges you've faced, and help shape how support could be improved for others in the future. Every story and every perspective is valuable.

A reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd 12:30-14:30 the National Museum are joining us for accessible creative workshops and storytelling.

This will be a drop-in session and there will be a mixture of real and replica items on display.

We have also rearranged for the clinical researchers carrying out speech and language research with our community and this will also take place on Wednesday 22nd 11am-1pm

Our Veg Shop will also be open as usual 10am-2pm, with plenty of fresh, affordable fruit and veg. 🥕🍎

Whether you're coming along to join an activity, pick up your shopping, or just fancy a chat, you'll always find a warm welcome. We hope to see you soon! 💚

A quick update: Unfortunately, we've had to postpone our speech and language research conversations for now.

Thank you to everyone who has expressed an interest in taking part. We really appreciate your support.

We don't have a new date just yet, but we do expect this to take place really soon - July.

In partnership with a paediatric speech and language therapist, we are looking to better understand what it's really like to look for advice or support, surrounding your child's speech, language and understanding.

We are looking to chat with parents, grandparents and carers of children, especially those with children under 8-years old.

Your experiences will help shape research and improve the support and information available for families.
