Our popular EMU programme covers specialties, presentations and conditions included within the Internal Medicine Training (IMT) curriculum. Although aimed primarily at medical trainees, Evening Medical Updates are open to all hospital doctors, GPs, other healthcare professionals, and medical students.

Opportunity for UK Foundation Doctors

RCPE is offering two bursaries to support Foundation Doctors in years 1 and 2 to attend the Scottish Society of Physicians 68th Annual Meeting, taking place in Inverness on 17-18 September.

Each bursary is worth up to £250 per recipient, covering the registration fee and contributing towards travel and accommodation costs.

To apply, submit a statement of no more than 250 words explaining why you would like to be considered.

Application deadline: midnight on 30 August.

Could your research be recognised by the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh?

The Myre Sim Collegiate Members Prize celebrates the outstanding research being carried out by doctors in training across the UK and around the world.

Funded through the generosity of Dr Myre Sim FRCP Edin, the annual prize recognises the best original research article published in a peer-reviewed journal within the last two years.

Open to all Collegiate members in training, wherever you are based. Winner receives £1,500 and a commemorative medal.

Apply by 9am on Friday 25 September 2026.
