Thank you to everyone who wrote to their candidates in the Scottish Parliament election about blood cancer. Now the elections are over, it's time to introduce yourself to your MSPs and let them know how they can champion Blood Cancer UK in Holyrood.

We've created a Welcome Pack to introduce your new representatives to blood cancer and the priority issues we want them to act on. You can use the tool on our website to send it to your new MSPs

🌱 A huge thank you to everyone involved in the Plant Sale at Fowlis Wester Village Hall, which raised an incredible £4,898.31 for Blood Cancer UK.

Pictured below are Audrey, Harriet, Caroline and Anne, who helped make the event such a success.

The annual plant sale is a wonderful tradition, with plants carefully grown and prepared throughout the year before being sold at the event. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the wider Fowlis Wester Village Hall group, and the generosity of everyone who came along to support the sale, this year's event raised a fantastic amount for blood cancer research and support.

We are incredibly grateful to have been chosen as one of the beneficiaries of this much-loved event. Every pound raised will help fund vital research and support people affected by blood cancer across the UK.

Thank you all for your generosity, hard work and support ❤️

On Sunday, Mairead had the privilege of meeting some of the friends and family behind Team Rachel in Dunfermline to thank them for the incredible difference they've made through this year's Walk of Light.

Rachel was diagnosed with AML and sadly died in April 2025, just a few weeks later. She is deeply missed by her family and friends, who wanted to find a way to come together, remember Rachel, and share stories about her.

That's why they chose to take part in Walk of Light.

Earlier this year, 12 of Rachel's family and friends walked across the Forth Road Bridge in her memory. Together, they've raised an incredible £12,842.23, including Gift Aid and matched funding.

On Sunday it was clear just how much Rachel meant to everyone. Her friends and family spoke about wanting to keep her memory alive and to raise awareness of AML, so that more people understand the impact blood cancer can have.

We're so grateful to Team Rachel for choosing to support Blood Cancer UK in Rachel's memory. Every pound raised will help fund research, provide information and support, and bring us closer to beating blood cancer.

Thank you💛

We’d like to say a big thank you to Vivienne in Shetland, who recently held another wonderful plant and teas sale and raised an incredible £1,435 for Blood Cancer UK 🌱☕

This latest fundraiser means she has now raised more than £11,000 in support of Blood Cancer UK, which is an amazing achievement.

Because of supporters like Vivienne and the generosity of local communities, we can continue funding research and supporting people affected by blood cancer.

Thank you for your continued support. We’re so grateful to have you as part of our Blood Cancer UK community 💗

A huge thank you to Scott and Paul for taking on the 85 mile Etape Caledonia in support of Blood Cancer UK. Together, they raised an amazing £3,254, plus £718 in Gift Aid, in memory of their much missed friend Adam 💜

Taking on such a tough ride is an incredible achievement, and we’re so grateful for their support. Every pound raised will help support people affected by blood cancer and fund vital research.

Thank you both for doing something so special in Adam’s memory, and thank you to everyone who donated and supported them along the way.

Because together, we can beat blood cancer.

A big thank you to everyone at Speirs Gumley and James Gibb for taking on the challenge of climbing Ben Chonzie in support of Blood Cancer UK. Climbing a Munro is no small task and doing it to raise funds and awareness for people affected by blood cancer gives every step purpose.

With an incredible £5,755 raised, your fundraising is making a real impact. That support helps fund vital research into kinder, more effective treatments, supports specialist nurses working directly with patients and families, and provides trusted information for people navigating a blood cancer diagnosis. It also helps drive progress towards earlier diagnosis and better outcomes for those affected.

Thank you again to everyone involved for your effort and generosity. It brings us one step closer to beating blood cancer and we’re so thankful to you all for your support ❤️

Mairead, Regional Relationships Manager for Scotland, visited our Dunoon and Cowal Blood Cancer Branch this week. We had a lovely catch up over lunch and met some local supporters.

This amazing group has now raised an incredible £206,706 for Blood Cancer UK. They have been fundraising for 38 years, bringing people together through plant sales, raffles, games nights, gala days and so much more.

It’s always inspiring to see a group with such long standing commitment to their community and such consistent energy for supporting Blood Cancer UK.

Thank you for everything you do to raise funds and awareness for blood cancer research 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who took on the Kiltwalk for Blood Cancer UK last weekend. With sunshine from start to finish, it was incredible to see so many of you out there walking, and supporting each other. Thanks to those who have sent on their photos – we love seeing them!

Because of you, thousands of pounds have been raised to fund life-saving research and support people affected by blood cancer. That means backing groundbreaking research into kinder, more effective treatments, and making sure people have somewhere to turn for trusted information and support when they need it most.

Every step is bringing us closer to beating blood cancer. Thank you 💜
