Meet Beau 💗 she just got baptised!

And coming up out of that water? Pure joy. A fresh start, a declaration of faith, a desire for a relationship with God and a new chapter beginning.

If you’ve been thinking about getting baptized but something’s been holding you back, maybe nerves, doubt, not feeling “ready enough”, know this: you don’t have to have it all figured out it al alone. The church is here to help you.

“Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” — Acts 2:38

NO SCOTLAND, NO PARTY! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

She wasn’t religious.
She didn’t grow up going to church.

Beau, 22, from the Scottish Borders, came across one of our reels and followed us and when she finally came along, what surprised her most?

Not the building.
Not a sermon.
Not religion.

It was the people.

“Wow, all of you are so happy!” 🥹

As she studied the Bible, Beau discovered a faith she had never known before and a community that genuinely wanted to live it out.

For the celebration at her baptism day we had…
IRN-BRU, followed by classic Scottish football chants. 😂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Meet our new brother, Tyrese!

Tyrese first came to church a few months ago and was so impacted by what he experienced that he even travelled down to London to attend the European Missions Conference.

As he saw people being transformed by the Bible and experienced the genuine love of the disciples, he decided that he wanted to study the Bible for himself, become a true disciple of Jesus, and put his full trust in God.

Last Sunday, Tyrese was baptised! 🙌🏽🌊

Jesus said:

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35

We’re so grateful to see God working in Tyrese’s life and excited for everything He has in store for him! ❤️

Midweek sunshine in Edinburgh ☀️

There’s something about the sun showing up on a Wednesday that lifts the whole week.
But we’re reminded that our joy isn’t dependent on the weather, “the joy of the Lord is my strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). That joy stays steady, sunshine or not.

And Paul reminds us there’s strength in showing up together, “that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me” (Romans 1:12).

If you want to be strengthened by that kind of joy, the kind that doesn’t wait on the weather, we’d love for you to join us this weekend:

🌳 Friday, 7PM: Campus gathering at the park. Fresh air, good company, and time well spent together.
