Our aim is to:
- Connect parents closely with the school
- Be a second voice for our children
- Identify improvements and new opportunities for the school
- Fundraise to enhance every child's school experience

Why and how:
- Contribute to your child’s learning journey and help make school life even more enjoyable.
- Support for parents by building friendships and sharing experiences.
- Help get parents’ ideas and opinions to the headteacher.
- Listen to parents’ feedback and address it appropriately. We are a registered charity - SC052722

Dear Parents/Carers,

We’re part way through our Christmas card online fundraiser — thank you so much to everyone who has already taken part!

If you haven’t had a chance to order yet, there’s still time to get involved and support the school.

👉 How to take part:

Your child should have received their personalised order form. Simply follow the instructions to place your order online. If you have misplaced the order form please contact [email protected] with your child's name and class and we will send you, your unique pin to order.

All orders will be printed in bulk after the shop closes and then sent to the school for distribution at the end of November.

🗓 The online shop will close at midnight on Saturday, 7th November 2026.

Every order, big or small, really helps us reach our fundraising goal — we’d love to keep the momentum going!

So far P1A are leading the way with sales! 🥇

The Parent Council have organised our annual Halloween Dress Up and Pumpkin Competition on Friday 30th October 2026!

👻 Come to school in costumes (if you wish). 👻

🎃 Pumpkin competition open to all! 🎃
• Bring your carved pumpkin to school and place on the grass outside p1.
• No candles or lights please, names and classes on pumpkin bottom.
• A special judge will choose a winner from each class!

⚽️ The Parent Council are thrilled to have funded new strips for our p6 football team! ⚽️

These smart strips will take our football players through p6 and p7 and we hope they bring them lots of luck for all their games!

🎄 Save the Date – Clermiston Primary Parent Council Christmas Fair 🎄

📅 Saturday 5 December
🕙 10:00am to 12:00 noon

We're excited to announce that the Clermiston Primary Parent Council Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 5 December.

To help make the event a success, we are looking for local businesses and organisations willing to donate a raffle prize. Raffle proceeds will go directly towards supporting the school. This year all proceeds go towards enhancing the outdoor space for the whole school.

If you or someone you know is able to donate a prize, no matter how big or small, we would love to hear from you. Please contact [email protected].

⚽️ 🖤⚽️ The Clermiston P6 football team are looking for a sponsor to fund their strips ahead of the new season.
This is a great opportunity to advertise your company as the boys and girls play matches across west Edinburgh every Saturday.

This is the team's second year together and it would be great for them to have a fresh look for the new campaign.

Our Uniform Boutique is very well stocked and lovingly tidied - please come and help yourself to as many items of clothing as needed 🤩.

The clothes are all waiting for new homes 💜

Ps. Please do keep it as tidy as possible - the volunteers can only do so much to keep it looking nice. 🙏🏻

📣 Our Parent Council newsletter is out now! 📣

Thank you to everyone who has supported the hard work of the PC volunteers this year; we’ve had great success.

We are now ready to take a break over the summer and we look forward to getting things up and running again in September.

If you’d like to join us next term, everyone is always welcome! 💜
