With Limb Loss & Limb Difference Awareness Month ending today, I thought it would make sense to close our fundraising page for .

We managed to raise £6000 over the course of the year and considering the amount of injuries I've had in 2024, I must have used up all my fitness just to get through those races & the 2,000km!!

It was an amazing experience and I would like to thank everyone who donated or shared our posts etc, it was really uplifting to see the amount of kind messages from people we had never met ❤️.

I'm very aware that if I was to try and raise funds again in the same way this year I would be asking a lot of the same people to donate but I have a really strong urge to do something bigger, bolder and better in 2025 to raise more funds and awareness!! 🫡

and I will still post about Florence's journey and anything else that will help raise awareness of course.

Thanks again and be good humans!

Florence has used her new hand for the first time today to hold something in her fingers!! Well done little one!!

To some, this isn’t classed as huge milestone but to us as a limb difference family, it’s definitely something to be celebrated 💙

Florence has something to show you all…🩷

We are so unbelievably proud of the bravery & resilience of this little girl who has been in hospital over 30 times in the last 22 months.

Her 2nd surgery has given her the use of 3 more digits with a nail on each of them which is going to be life changing for her.

There’s still a long way to go & she will have her 3rd surgery later this year but what has been achieved so far is absolutely remarkable.

We are so incredibly happy for you Florence, “Happy New Fingers Day” baby girl 🩷✨

Florence’s little hand from when she was only 9 days old & we told the world about her limb difference.

Tomorrow will be our 15th hospital visit since her 2nd surgery 5 weeks ago and all being well will be the day she gets her dressings off & have freedom with her new hand 💙

Today’s appointment was the smoothest one yet, think we are all long over due that!

The honey has made a great difference & the dead skin from the skin graft is away which is helping her hand heal better. There’s little red bumps between her fingers at the skin graft areas which is a good sign. Back in again on Wednesday for another dressing change.

Florence was amazed with her new hand, she kept turning it around & had a little feel of it which had us all crying.

So proud of this brave little girl ❤️

What a wild few days it’s been, we have no idea what day we are even on now…🫠😭

We ended up in hospital 3 times in 26 hours & we’re back again today for the 9th time in just over 2 weeks. Overall this little girl has been in hospital around 30 times now & she’s not even two yet, we are pretty much at the brink of exhaustion too.

Today was another dressing change with the plastics team, who had to call the surgeons to come & assess her, so again 5 medical staff in the room with a lot going on. It’s not at the point of needing admission but her hand was bleeding, it’s still very swollen & it’s still infected.

Back in again on Wednesday (hopefully no A&E visits before that)!

The team were amazing again & gave her some chocolate buttons & a Christmas gift addressed to her which was so special ❤️

Where do I even start…🤯

As per my last post, Tuesday morning was a really tough appointment for us, turns out it was about to get a lot worse…🙃

Less than 12 hours later & our little Houdini had managed to pull the dressing clean off when in her cot so it was an emergency cover up with cling film & running tape (one benefit of doing all this running!) & a mad dash to A&E where we had to wait for them to liaise with the Plastic Surgery department before they would do anything. We eventually got her all sorted & back in bed for 2am.

Roll on 9am & it was off again so another dash to the hospital, all of us absolutely exhausted!!

We were in for another 4hrs with Florence screaming & distressed as soon as she saw anyone in a blue uniform, this has been more difficult as she’s got older, her 1st surgery was when she was 10 months old & she’s more aware of her surroundings now.

Back in again with the Plastics Dressing Clinic at 9am tomorrow…the end is near 🧡

Trip No.4 to the hospital in less than a week 🤯😭🫠

24hrs after her appointment yesterday, we were back at A&E this morning as her dressings were hanging on my a thread. She was super brave today & coped a bit better with it all.

Let’s hope there’s no more visits before our appointment on Tuesday.

Charity Football Match for .

I haven't been able to continue the RunUp2Christmas challenge unfortunately because I've just not had the time to get out after Florence's surgery......it was probably a bit ambitious in the first place to think I would have time 😬

I do have a fantastic substitute though..........my football team are arranging a Reach charity game against the "Legends" team full of overs 35s( 🙋‍♂️) with players donating £10 to play. have also decided will be the teams charity of the year so will be raising funds throughout the season with other events too⭐️

It will be a cold Wednesday night at Peffermill but please feel free to come along and support the football and the charity.
