The promise was that North Bridge would be fully open "by the end of July 2026"- and these two pics taken this morning show they have very nearly achieved it: scaffolding gone, pavements on both sides in use but still only one lane of traffic in each direction!

Experts urge council to halt 'hasty' demolition of fire-ravaged Princes Street landmark

We've raised concerns with the Council about road safety on George IV Bridge, where so many people are crossing the road, owing to the disruption caused by the building works. We're also trying to get a new timeline for when these works should finally finish (update promised at the end of the month). 🤞
