Next up in our Meet the Reenactor series - our resident tree dwelling gremlin.

Where did you find BXIV?
A classmate from uni dragged me to Craigmillar Castle one day in January, I thought I was going to be walking around a cold park all day but instead there were people swordfighting, so of course I had to join in.

Why join?
It's super fun! If you like exercise you can stay fit by defeating your enemies, or if you prefer crafts there's a huge variety of historical crafts to get stuck into! If you're a history and archaeology fan like me you can get very invested in historical research.

What can you be found doing during shows?
I'll either be on the field of battle or hanging around the camp. Sometimes in between battles I do enjoy a 'sleeping peasant' display.

Favoured weapon: My beloved Macey (my Mace) and my little shield!

Off season goals
I hope to finally finish hand-sewing my clothes for shows and I want to do more research into historically accurate leatherwork.
