Thanks to everyone who came along to our cooking demonstration last night with where we learnt how to cook a Scottish Lamb Shawarma Salad and a vegetarian alternative with falafel and hummus!

It was delicious and wonderful to hear so many cooking tips, how supermarket dishes are designed, upcoming food trends, reducing food waste, and about Scotch Lamb!

Thank you so much to Kevin for the demonstration and for funding the event and to everyone who came!

Chef Kevin Sutherland will be cooking with Scotch Lamb as the event has been very kindly funded by and we will be learning how to make a deconstructed kebab/shawarma style dish and potentially get to taste some too! Thank you to everyone who came along to our butchery demonstration last night with from It was great to see so many people come together and share so much enthusiasm to learn about such a skillful trade!
We learnt how different cuts of meat are prepared and heard about the challenges the red meat industry is facing and also about the multiple opportunities it presents. We even got to take some lamb home to cook ourselves, finishing the farm to fork process! 🥩

Join us for a butchery demonstration on Wednesday 22nd January from 18:00 to 20:30 at Edinburgh New Town Cookery School! who is a brand ambassador for will be leading the demonstration showing us how different cuts of lamb are prepared and talking through the farm to fork process and the different challenges the red meat industry is facing 🥩
