Artlink is looking for at least three people to join our Board.

As well as being non-executive directors of the company limited by guarantee, Board members are also trustees of the charity. Trustees/ Board members have the duties of directors under general company law and also the law which relates to charitable trustees. You will work with your fellow Board members to give strategic direction and to ensure accountability.

We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have experience in any of the following:

• Lived experience of disability, or being a carer
• Governance, particularly in the voluntary sector
• Cultural involvement (within any discipline)
• Safeguarding of vulnerable adults or young people
• Socially driven fundraising

You do not have to have previous experience of being a Board member/ trustee of a charity and appropriate training and support will be given.

Deadline is Friday 29th May 2026 by noon.

Glorious sunny weather and fabulous Daffodils up at the Creative Hub at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital today. Thank you to our volunteers for keeping the gardens looking so great.

The willow arches at the Glasshouses are architectural interest in the garden during the winter. Many thanks to our hard working volunteer how has single handed cut most of it down. We have a mountain of willow available for free to any who will take it away.

GREEN TOMATO DAY a sad but inevitable day in the gardening year clearing the last of the tomatoes from the Glasshouses. White fly had settled into the greenhouse so it was time for the tomatoes and cucumbers to go. We harvested 3 large bowls of green tomatoes which will be turned into green tomato chutney unless anyone out there has any better ideas? We have had the best crop ever of cherry, Roma and tigerella tomatoes this year thanks to our new growing system and hard working volunteers. Goodbye the red embrace the green until next year…
