We welcome donations of good quality books, toys, jewellery, clothes and household goods. Please do not bring us anything dirty, broken or incomplete, as this just costs the charity money to dispose of. We are very grateful for your donations, but there are times when we simply don’t have room for any

more in our small stock room. When this is the case we will put a sign on the door. We suggest you phone ahead (0131 447 7543) to check if we have space before bringing your donations. Please don’t leave donations outside the shop. These can get stolen or damaged, and can make a mess of the area, upsetting our lovely neighbours. Gift Aid

If you are a UK tax payer, please consider completing a Gift Aid form next time you donate goods to us. It allows Save the Children to claim from HMRC an extra 25% on the value of any of your goods we sell, at no cost to you. Once you have a Save the Children Gift Aid number you can use it when donating goods at any Save the Children shop.

Thank you to the donor who gave us this beautiful origami kit. Nobody bought it, so we made up the birds, butterflies, turtles and flowers and used them for a jungly window display. One of the unexpected pleasures of volunteering at Save the Children!
