** Good news! Turns out the sign has been spirited away for a surprise wee refurb… Can’t wait to have it back bigger and better 😊

A big welcome to our new friends who have joined our page recently 🤗 Great to have you in our local grassroots environmental organisation!

A bit of sad news though to update on: our beautiful handcarved Currie Community Orchard sign in King George V Park, Currie, has disappeared!

If anyone spots it in the undergrowth or round and about - please let us know so we can rescue it.

Hopefully with the help of our fellow groups Currie Community Centre Currie Community Council Currie Balerno Rotary Club and the Pentlands Men’s Shed, we can get something sorted. 🙏🏼

Thanks to our orchard maintenance volunteers last Saturday who turned up to the Currie Community Orchard 🍁 🍎

Our orchard is now two years old and needed some weeding and repairs to tree guards. This year the fruit buds were removed to allow the tree to establish.

Next year will be the first crop of yummy apples, pear and plums for anyone to pick and eat!

Keep your eye out for future orchard gatherings - it’s a really nice way to get involved in very relaxed, all ages local environmental action. 🍏

Join members of our local grassroots environmental group Pentlands Eco Network at the Currie Community Orchard for a spot of autumn maintenance and community action. Keep our lovely apple, plum and pear trees in top condition to provide free fruit for our local community.

Starting soon, our Tech Donation Boxes will be available in all 28 libraries across Edinburgh. These boxes are your opportunity to give your old devices a second chance at life! Here’s how it will works:

💚 Donate: Drop off your unwanted tech.
🔧 Repair: We’ll work our magic to refurbish them.
♻️ Recycle: Devices beyond repair will be recycled responsibly.
