Cash for Kids Midlands

Cash for Kids helps the children that need it most across the Midlands. We support those who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.

Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity that fundraises to help disadvantaged children across the Midlands. Our grants to families, community organisations and local charities provide support to families who often have nowhere else to go. We promise what's Raised Local, Stays Local, with all donations staying in our communities to help local children and young people. In 2025 we raised £1,135,594 supporting 22,981 children. If you would like to get involved please send us a message.

When the tightest friend in the group books the Airbnb… but the saxophones get louder. 🎷😭

Jamie thought he was checking into a cosy little getaway… he thought it couldn’t be that bad could it?

At least the bed was comfy… right Jamie? 😂

Well, welcome to Set Me Free, Jamie. 🔒👻 LoveBrum

24/09/2026

We’ve already found out what our Set Me Free ‘inmates’ are LEAST looking forward to… but what about the important stuff?

WHAT ARE YOU ACTUALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO? 👀

The answer might surprise you… or perhaps it won’t! 😂

Tonight, 30+ brave fundraisers will be heading behind the bars of the former HM Prison Shrewsbury for the night, taking on the ultimate challenge in support of Cash for Kids Midlands and LoveBrum

From the experience itself to spending the night with an amazing group of people, there are apparently a few things our inmates are looking forward to!

🎥 Take a look at what they had to say…

And then, of course, we’ll find out tomorrow whether they were still feeling quite so positive once those cell doors closed! 👀🔐

Good luck, inmates! We can’t wait to see you tonight! 💙

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Half Marathon, two Hickory’s restaurants and an incredible £1,310 raised!❤️💙

A HUGE thank you to the amazing team at Hickory’s who took on their very own half marathon between their Hickory's Smokehouse Burton Green and Hickory's Smokehouse Earlswood restaurants, going the extra mile (quite literally! 😂) to raise an incredible £1,310 for Cash for Kids Midlands! 🎉

We’re so grateful for the time, energy and determination you put into making a difference to children and young people across our region.

Whether you were pounding the pavements, cheering from the sidelines or helping make it happen , thank you! Your support really does make a difference. ❤️

Now, who’s ready for the next challenge?! 👀🏃‍♂️😂

18/09/2026

We’ve been getting to know our Set Me Free ‘inmates’ ahead of their big challenge next week and we had one very important question for them…

WHAT ARE YOU LEAST LOOKING FORWARD TO?

From the cold cells, lack of luxury and questionable 'extra guests' 👻, there’s certainly plenty to think about!

Next Thursday 24th September, 30+ brave fundraisers will be heading behind the bars of the former HM Prison Shrewsbury overnight, raising vital funds for local children and young people in the Midlands.

🎥 Take a look at what some of our inmates had to say…

🎄 100 SLEEPS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!🎄

Well… it’s official. By the sounds of it, a certain someone is beginning to defrost...

The countdown is ON. 👀

But whilst the 🎶All I Want For Christmas Is You🎶 countdown begins, we’re also getting ready for something much more important…

🎅 Mission Christmas 2026 is officially underway! ❤️

Applications are now OPEN for children and families who need a little extra helping hand this Christmas, and you can also now register your support for this year’s campaign.

Last year, we helped bring Christmas magic to 18,125 children across the Midlands. Children who might otherwise have woken up on Christmas morning without a visit from Santa or that bit of magic so many of us take for granted. ❤️

And with Christmas now just 100 sleeps away, there’s no better time to get involved.

Whether you’re a business, school, community group, workplace or simply want to do something amazing this Christmas: we’d love to have you with us. 🎁

🎅 Applications, sign up to fundraise or donate HERE: https://cashforkids.org.uk/fundraising/mission-christmas/

100 sleeps. Let’s make every single one count. ❤️
