It's already the fourth and final day of the City Nature Challenge! Doesn't it fly-by when the weather is nice! 🌞

Great news, we have just passed 8,000 observations and we've recorded over 1,000 species! Amazing stuff! 🐞

Remember, we still have one day left if you'd like to get involved. Even if you're at work today, you might think about snapping some pics of wildlife you see on your way to/from work or on your lunch break, or making a quick sound recording of birds singing in your garden this morning! 🐦

If you're not at work today we have a couple of fab CityNature Challenge Events happening including a a wildlife walk at Warley Woods by EcoRecord and a wildlife recording day at Castle Vale Meadows by Community Environmental Trust 🌻

Remember, we have until 10th May to get all our photos and sounds uploaded onto iNaturalist.

If you'd like to take part, but are struggling to use iNaturalist you can send your photos to us and we can upload them for you!

THE RESULTS ARE IN!

Once again, a huge thanks to everyone who took part in the 2025 Birmingham & Black Country !

Here are this year's top contributors for number of observations and species recorded - including those emailed to us and added to iNaturalist via the EcoRecord account.

We’re so pleased to see such amazing commitment from so many people, and we hope you enjoyed recording our local wildlife just as much as us!
