Dedicated to preserving the castle, its extensive collections and its grounds in perpetuity for public benefit. Chiddingstone Castle has been described as a treasure in the Garden of England. A fascinating historic house with Tudor origins and Victorian rooms, set in 35 acres of beautiful grounds, housing the amazing collections of the late Denys Eyre Bower - Japanes armour, swords and lacquerware; Ancient Egyptian artefacts; Buddhist antiquities and Stuart & Jacobite art and artefacts. A fairytale wedding and hospitality venue, with a delightful Tea Room and well-stocked Gift Shop.

Tea Room open Thursday to Sunday 11-5 until November 1st (with the exception of private events). Please check website for details.

Before we tuck in for winter, we're treating one lucky group to a delicious Cream Tea for 4 in our tea room - freshly baked homemade scones, clotted cream, jam, and a pot of tea or coffee each! 🫖

📅 Prize valid throughout October 2026

We're getting ready to close our doors for the season (last day Sunday 1st November) before we reopen for our 2027 season in March - so this is the perfect excuse to gather your favourite people for one last cosy autumn catch-up in the grounds of the castle before we hibernate! 🍂
