We are hiring!

We're seeking an experienced Training Officer to join our brilliant team and lead volunteer recruitment, training, and quality assurance.

You'll recruit and interview new volunteers, oversee GDPR and SMCR compliance, mentor volunteer advisers and support advice session supervisors. The role involves monitoring service quality using the Quality of Advice Toolkit, identifying learning needs, delivering training programs, and maintaining comprehensive training records for staff and volunteer development.

We need someone with demonstrable experience in training and mentoring staff and volunteers. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential, along with understanding of equality, diversity and a genuine commitment to the provision of accessible and high-quality advice services.

This year, take a step towards a healthier lifestyle !!

SDC have launched a new walk called 'Walking with a Health Coach' to help you get active.

These walks are sociable, short and mostly on the flat and are led by trained volunteers. They are perfect for anyone who has not been active for a while and those who are being encouraged to move more.

Meet outside the Edenbridge Leisure Centre at 8.30am on a Thursday.
There's no need to book, you can just turn up.
