SAFE CROSSINGS NEEDED FOR EDEN MANOR RESIDENTIAL HOME AND EDENBRIDGE MEDICAL CENTRE

A petition is now live calling on Kent County Council to provide safe pedestrian crossing solutions near Eden Manor Residential Home and Edenbridge Medical Centre.

These are existing safety concerns affecting residents, patients, care home visitors, staff, families, older people, disabled residents, bus users and people walking to the Medical Centre.

This should not be left waiting on possible future development funding. Edenbridge needs clear answers and practical solutions now.

Did you watch Dirty Business? I can't believe how much water companies have gotten away with. They're putting profit before public health - it’s a scandal and the Government MUST take action!

BRIDGES MARKET DAY - SATURDAY 2ND MAY

We’re delighted to be back at Bridges Café this Saturday for their brilliant Market Day.

There’ll be a fantastic mix of stalls – from plants and homemade cakes to jewellery and local art – plus everything on the café menu, with extended opening from 10am–2pm.

Our water quality exhibition is still on display, and we’ll be there too, between 10am and 12pm so do come and say hello if you fancy a chat about the river, our work, or how you can get involved.
It’s a great way to support Bridges and spend a relaxed Saturday morning – we hope to see you there.

What a fantastic Day of Action — thank you to everyone who came along, got involved and helped make it such a positive community event.

It was wonderful to see so many people supporting our rivers, countryside and green spaces, and we were especially encouraged by those who expressed an interest in volunteering for future river projects. If that was you, we would love to hear from you at [email protected].

If you are not yet a member of NEDRA, please do join us so we can keep you informed and involved in future campaigns, events and local projects.

Together, our community has a real voice – thank you

Only 2 days to go!

The mystery is over — the scarecrows are backing our Day of Action, and we’d love you to join us on 18 April, 10am–2pm, at Bridges Cafe and the Stone Bridge.

Come along, bring your voice, and help us stand up for nature, parks and the countryside. Every person there will help show how much our community cares.

View our exhibition about the river, join our quiz and send your messages to protect the countryside & rivers. Children and young people are invited to come down to the Stone Bridge and decorate our monster banner.

See you on Friday.

Calling All Young Artists in Edenbridge

Looking for a fun Easter holiday free activity for the children – there is still time to enter our Picture Competition

NEDRA is inviting children in Edenbridge to take part in our Save Our Countryside Picture Competition. We’d love them to draw, paint or create a picture showing why nature, wildlife, rivers and green spaces matter to them.

Entries must be in by Monday 13 April and can be dropped off at Eden Clean the Dry Cleaners on the High Street.

There will be prizes for the winning entries, with awards presented on 18 April as part of Edenbridge’s National Day of Action.

Important: please make sure the back of every entry clearly includes the child’s name, contact number, and a title or short sentence explaining their picture.
