Age Concern Eastwood – Annual General Meeting
The Trustees of Age Concern Eastwood held their Annual General Meeting on Monday, 28th September at 4.00pm at the Colin Dyson Centre.
Cllr Robert Bullock, Vice Chair, opened the meeting in the absence of our Chair, Annette Longdon, who was unfortunately unable to attend due to an injury.
Robert read Annette’s report on her behalf. Annette apologised for not being able to attend and confirmed that, after several years of dedicated service, she would be standing down as Chair. She will however, continue in her role as Trustee. The Trustees would like to place on record their sincere thanks to Annette for all her hard work, commitment and contribution to Age Concern Eastwood over the years.
The meeting continued with Secretary Jo Cooke presenting her report, followed by Treasurer Josie Marsters, who presented her report. The financial report was also distributed and approved by the Trustees.
Our thanks were also extended once again to local accountants Pells for their continued support and assistance with the charity’s auditing.
The meeting then proceeded to the election of officers. Following a vote, all appointments were unanimously agreed, with the following Trustees taking up their respective roles:
President - Annette Longdon
Chair – Josie Marsters
Vice Chair – Cllr Robert Bullock
Treasurer – Jim Banton
Secretary – Jo Cooke
Cllr Robert Bullock thanked Jo for her continued support as Secretary; he went on to thank Josie for her dedicated 26 years as a Trustee/Treasurer and welcomed Jim to his new role of Treasurer.
We would like to thank all of our Trustees, staff and volunteers for their continued dedication and support. Their commitment helps ensure that Age Concern Eastwood can continue providing friendship, companionship and support to older people in our community.
We look forward to another year of working together and continuing the valuable work of Age Concern Eastwood.
