MEUFOR AMUNGWA WOMEN'S RISE INITIATIVE BRINGS JOY TO BAMBUI WIDOWS

Bambui, Cameroon - The Meufo Amungwa Women's Rise Initiative has made a significant impact in the lives of over 500 widows in Bambui, distributing essential items and spreading Christmas cheer.

Speaking to our reporter, beneficiary widows expressed their heartfelt gratitude, with one widow, Mama Esther, saying, "This is a wonderful surprise. We are so grateful for the kindness and support. It means a lot to us."

Another widow, Mama Carol, added, "It's heartwarming to know that there are still people who care about us. We feel seen and loved."

This initiative, led by Meufo Amungwa Linda, aimed to bring joy, love, and dignity to these remarkable women, acknowledging their daily struggles and hardships. With the support of individual donors, the organization was able to provide a thoughtful gesture to these women, bringing hope and happiness to their lives.

This event was aimed at fostering the importance of supporting and uplifting one another, especially during the holiday season. The Meufor Amungwa Women's Rise Initiative's selfless act has been widely praised, and serves as an inspiration to others to make a positive impact in their communities.

We continued to empower women and promote solidarity, and this Christmas outreach is a testament to our dedication to making a difference in the lives of those in need.

During the BACOME Convention in Bilbao, Spain, I had the honour of formally introducing to the Bambui Community in Mainland Europe, two remarkable women; Mama Mary Njuma and Mrs. Clarise Bimani, who were recently knighted as Meufuebwen by His Royal Majesty Fon Angafor Mombo-oh III and his delegation during their official visit to the United Kingdom in May 2025.

The title Meufuebwen is a distinguished honour that inducts them into the female branch of the Quifor House, a position of both cultural and communal responsibility. In their new roles, Ma Mary and Mrs. Bimani are tasked with working closely with Bambui women across Mainland Europe to foster unity, encourage active participation in the association’s activities, and ensure that the voice of women remains strong within the Bambui community. They are also entrusted with the responsibility of preserving and promoting Bambui cultural traditions, as well as mediating and resolving misunderstandings that may arise among the women.

Their appointment is a recognition of their long-standing dedication, active involvement, and passion for advancing the Bambui culture. The Quifor House must have recognised their unique qualities, leadership potential, and commitment to community service in entrusting them with such an honourable role.

I warmly congratulate Ma Mary and Mrs. Clarise Bimani on this well-deserved recognition and wish them abundant wisdom, grace, and strength as they embrace the challenges and responsibilities that come with this high calling.
