We get together once a month to enjoy informative speakers, fun demonstrations and a good catch up with friends. 💚
We meet on the last Wednesday of the month at Fair Oak Village Hall.

📣Calling all you budding florists 💐

At our next meeting on Wednesday 24th June, we have The Grace Mears Rose Bowl competition.

Grace Mears was a long standing member of Fair Oak WI joining at the age of 15! She was a member for over 70 years and held the title of President on many occasions.

The theme this year for the floral display is “Holiday Time”

Entry requirements - a floral display no more than 12” x 12” x 12” and predominantly flowers.

So come on ladies, this is the perfect opportunity to show off your floral expertise.

A throw back to our winner Linda with her ‘Sugar and spice and all things nice’ display from last year. No pressure ladies!!!

We enjoyed a busy evening last night with a guest speaker, plant sale and annual general meeting.

🎤We welcomed Nikki Grant from Solomon’s alpacas and thoroughly enjoyed listening to her story of how she accidentally became an alpaca farmer. Nikki breeds and sells alpacas and her farm is open to visitors. 🦙

Our annual general meeting was overseen by WI advisor Barbara Withers and we were all thrilled that Ruth was re-elected as President.

👏🏻Many congratulations to Ruth who also celebrated her birthday yesterday and it was a great excuse to have tea and cake 🍰

We also elected the committee and welcomed both Linda and Mary and wish them well in their new roles. Lynn and Jane are stepping down from their committee duties and they were both presented with an orchid. Thank you both for your commitment and support over the years.

🪴Thank you to all the ladies who donated plants for the table top sale and well done to Karen for winning flower of the month.

It was a very warm evening and thank you to all the ladies who attended 💚

A last thank you to Ruth and all the ladies on the committee who work very hard behind the scenes to ensure we have an interesting and fun time. Thank you 🙏🏻 👏🏻💚

🕰️ 7.15 for 7.30pm start

We have a busy evening planned with a guest speaker and our annual meeting to elect the committee and a president. Please kindly note you will only be able to vote if you have paid your subscription.

🎤We will be welcoming our guest speaker, Nikki Grant of Solomon’s Alpacas and look forward to her talk ‘The accidental Alpaca Farmer’

🪴We have a plant sale this month so please bring any donations for the table and
don’t forget to bring some money to buy a plant or two!

Our usual monthly program includes;

🌸Flower of the month - we now have a trophy 🏆 for the winner!
🎟️ Raffle tickets £1 each
☕️ Tea, coffee and biscuits 50p
