For those we unfortunately can not re-home and must stay with us we offer a sponsorship scheme, currently being set up so that no cat goes without. It's a long time since I've had to ask our trusty supporters for any financial help, but unfortunately I'm left with little choice except to ask if you could help us raise £1,000.00 please? I cannot potentially risk the lives of our rescue cats & kittens any longer and have had to bite the bullet and order in air conditioning for the cattery, which with the insulation works that will need completing beforehand, will cost around £9,000.00 . I have applied for a loan for this (as this is the only way that I will be able to finance this) but I urgently need to pay a 10% deposit to keep my booking date of 20th September. Could you help raise the £900.00 required for the deposit please? I fully fund all my Rescue work from the remnants of my work salary - that pays for the food, litter, all veterinary bills and all sundry costs, but just do not have £900.00 that I can put my hands on to cover the deposit needed to book the work in. UPDATE: Have finally located her owner who is delighted to be having her back, but is a bit shocked to find out she's heavily pregnant as she had been told that the cat had been spayed! So all's well that ends well! Thank you so much all of you for offering to support, I greatly appreciate it and if you don't mind, I'll hang onto your details, in case we get a similar scenario again? Do we have anyone (ideally already known to our rescue) who has a spare room and who would be prepared to temporarily take in a heavily pregnant cat for us, who is due to give birth imminently? It would be on a temporary basis until we have room at the Rescue for her? We will provide everything required, but it would need to be a secure location, where no other pets can get in and she can give birth, raise any kittens she might have in peace, with minimal intervention, just feeding, cleaning and regularly keeping a check on her and the welfare of any kittens. This may not come off, but I'm putting feelers out to see if anyone might be available to help? Picture is not of actual cat, but for illustrative purposes only. Well, what an AMAZING day it's been - 3 cats / kittens Pumpkin, Figgy & Nutmeg have been reserved today (pending homechecks) and we've met some really lovely potential owners.
On Thursday 2nd July, after they've had their 2nd vaccinations - Mummy cat Spice, whom we've just had spayed is going to her new home. Her 2 kittens Cinnamon & Cardamom are also going off to their new home together. As long as Nutmeg's home check tomorrow is okay, she too will be going off to her new home on Thursday evening to be a companion for Bertie & Basil. Then on Thursday afternoon, as long as her home check tomorrow passes, Pumpkin will be going off to her new home, and on Tuesday this week, as long as his home check tomorrow afternoon passes, Figgy will be going off to his new home.
BUT........ Of course, it doesn't stop there - we've just offered 5 pens to a rescue up near London, who have a pretty desperate situation up there that they have asked rescues for help with - multiple cats & kittens needing rescue spaces - so we will shortly be full again . Thank you for all your help & support as always - without you, we couldn't continue to do what we do ❤❤❤❤

UPDATE - NOW RESERVED PENDING HOMECHECK - - GOING TO A NEW HOME TO BE A COMPANION FOR BASIL & BERTIE ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 Nutmeg, now 10/11 weeks old, looking for a new home. She's delightful, affectionate, confident and could go on her own or as a friend for an existing cat looking for a play mate. She is microchipped, up to date with her flea & worm treatments, but currently too young to be neutered - however, any prospective adopter will need to enter into a neutering contract with us to ensure that when she is old enough, they get her spayed - we will require veterinary evidence
of this. She has had her first vaccination and is due her second vaccination on Thursday 2nd July. Adoption fee and home check will apply.

PUMPKIN
Pumpkin is a super affectionate, loving lady who found herself handed in at a vets in Orpington as a stray. She was neutered, microchipped and despite contacting the registered contact details on the microchip, her former owner confirmed that she had rehomed her to a family member who had since passed away, and could not take her back in herself. She did her time at the vets, to see if anybody else came forward for her, but despite advertising, nobody claimed her, so she is now up for rehoming.
We know that she is 5 – 6 years old. She will have her first vaccination shortly, and be ready for adoption afterwards. She would benefit going to a home where she can wander outdoors safely, she is a very friendly, affectionate, loving girl who enjoys attention. She’s a really sweet lady.

FIGGY
Figgy is a really sweet, chilled out lad who found himself handed in at the vets as a stray, with multiple wounds. He was unneutered, not microchipped and was in a sorry state. He did his time at the vets, but despite advertising, nobody came forward to claim him, so he is now up for rehoming.
The vets guesstimate that he is between 6 – 12 years old. He had his wounds all treated, he is now neutered, microchipped and he has had his first vaccination, and due his second shortly. He needs to go to a home where he can wander outdoors safely, as he does like being outside. However, having said that he is very friendly, affectionate, enjoys attention. He is a really sweet lad.

Ebay Volunteer Request - we have been fortunate enough to be donated some lovely items to sell that are too good for boot fayres, and possibly for Marketplace, that ideally would be best placed to be advertised on ebay for us to help our rescue funds. However, I just don't have the time, with working full-time and all the aspects of the rescue work, to be monitoring ebay, responding to requests, pricing up & packaging goods to send and wondered if there was anyone local to us, Hampden Park, Eastbourne that might be able to donate some of their time to help with this, that knows all about ebay please?

Coco UPDATE: NOW SETTLING NICELY IN HER NEW HOME ❤️

Coco is a sweet natured, friendly, short haired, all black neutered female who is microchipped, fully vaccinated and up to date with her flea & worm treatments. She is 16 months old. She came in to us along with 3 other of her siblings, who are also available for adoption – so she could go as one of a pair, but would also be perfectly fine being rehomed on her own, or as a cat friend for an existing cat, as she is obviously used to other cats. She enjoys socialising and once she gets to know you, loses her shy disposition and she blossoms into a very loving cat. She’s not been used to dogs, but she’s fine with both younger & older children. She enjoys being able to go outdoors, and would not be suitable as an indoor only cat. Gizzie is a lovely, friendly but shy, long haired, all black neutered female who is microchipped, fully vaccinated and up to date with her flea & worm treatments. She is 14 months old. She came in to us along with 3 other of her siblings, who are also available for adoption – so she could go as one of a pair, but would also be perfectly fine being rehomed on her own, or as a cat friend for an existing cat, as she is obviously used to other cats. She is the shyest of the 4 cats, gentle in nature and would need to get to know her new owner(s) well before being fully comfortable. She’s not been used to dogs, but she’s fine with both younger & older children. She enjoys being able to go outdoors, and would not be suitable as an indoor only cat.
