This week has kicked off with more visits to several Poundland and B&M stores in Maidstone and Chatham.

A lot of the staff weren't aware that there was a union available to them, so there have been lots of interesting chats taking place in staff rooms.

Lots of managers have been really helpful in helping making sure I have access to every staff member, which has been a huge positive.

This week long time union rep Carol accompanied me as I travelled to Chatham and Gillingham to visit stores that were new to us. We had great fun chatting to staff about the benefits of joining Usdaw.

We had some wonderful support from managers that we met and were made to feel very welcome in the stores we visited.

Not only did we have a successful week in recruiting new members, but I made a new friend in Carol and look forward to working more with her in the future.
