This Page is for all things to do with Fundraising & Fundraising Events for Cancer Treatment for Jake Whillock. Jake is 16 years old & is the eldest of 5 in a single parent family. Jake is like any other teenager, loves classic cars, Lego & spending time with his friends. Jake is battling DMG (Diffuse Midline Glioma), a rare form of brain tumours. Treatment available on the NHS has not worked, & i

s ineffective, & his tumours are continuing to grow despite an alternative type of Chemotherapy from France. Jake's health has deteriorated & he has been left with debilitating side effects. Would anyone be interested in a community bereavement support group? I was looking at setting up a once a month support group for families. I was thinking of using a church hall that's child friendly. I lost my son 2 years ago and myself and my children have found getting support difficult because we all grieve differently. I find the parents groups hard to get to because of the times and no childcare and my children struggle to talk to an adult about there loss. It's not a charity, its more about people getting together and supporting eachother.
Let me know if there is an interest and I will hope to get something organised
