Each year we collect money to keep our local Scout groups running. These are much needed funds to allow us to continue the Scouting development of our local children.

🎅✨ Santa Sleigh Success! ✨🎅

What an incredible festive season! The 1st Birdham & Witterings Scout Group’s Santa Sleigh once again brought smiles, laughter and Christmas magic to Birdham, Bracklesham and the Wittering

With Father Christmas and our amazing Scout volunteers visiting local streets, delivering gifts and spreading festive cheer, the event also raised vital funds to support Scouting activities for young people in our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it happen -especially:
⭐ Footworks for receiving parcels for Santa
⭐ Mat Cobden (Cross Country Demolition & Salvage Ltd) - our very own Rudolf! 🦌
⭐ Greytree Construction for the sound system and generator
⭐ Birdham Animal Feeds for festive children treats
⭐ PPL PRS for a discounted music licence

🎅 Santa Sleigh – Tonight’s Visit Is Going Ahead! 🎄

Great news! The 1st Birdham and Witterings Scout Group Santa Sleigh will be going ahead as planned this evening 🎉

Santa has checked the weather twice (with help from the elves!), the reindeer are ready, and the sleigh is all set to spread some festive cheer around the village ✨🦌

We’re looking forward to seeing lots of smiling faces as we make our way around. Thank you, as always, for your amazing support of the Scout Group.

🎅 Volunteers Urgently Needed – The Sleigh Cannot Run Without You! 🎅

1st Birdham & Wittering Scout Group will once again be spreading festive cheer throughout the community, but this can only happen if we have enough volunteers. Quite simply, if people don’t volunteer, Santa’s sleigh will not be able to run. Your help is absolutely essential to allow us to visit local families and continue this much-loved tradition.

📅 When?
We are running from today, Wednesday 17th to Monday 22nd December 2025 (no Sunday), visiting homes across the area and raising vital funds for our Scout Group.

⏰ Who are we looking for?
Friendly, reliable volunteers each evening. Even one night of help makes a huge difference and could be the difference between the sleigh running or having to cancel routes.

🌟 Why volunteer?
• Help spread real Christmas magic 🎄
• Support a fantastic local Scout Group
• Ensure Santa can visit as many children as possible this year
