Earlier this evening the Fire Brigade attended Ordsall Churchyard to put out a fire that had started. We don’t know the cause of this but would like to thank them for their help.

As the ground is currently so dry, we ask everyone to take care and not to drop any cigarette butts while passing through. We have no reason to believe that this was done maliciously but know from the news how much worse this could have been. Fortunately no major damage has been done to the graves in this area and the fire did not have time to spread far.

If anyone saw the fire or was in the area at the time, please contact us to let us know.

Another fabulous evening of music coming up on Saturday 14 March - and very different!
Hear all the instruments shown in the famous 14th century Luttrell Psalter held in the British Library. See a facsimile copy of the Psalter, which was commissioned by Sir Geoffrey Luttrell (1276–1345), lord of the Manor of Irnham in Lincolnshire.
