💚 Celebrating Our Very Own Pippa! 💚

Today, Muddy Fork had the privilege of attending the Bassetlaw & Bolsover Volunteer Awards as part of Volunteers' Week. The event was full of joy, pride, and some of the most inspiring people you could ever hope to meet.

A huge congratulations to all the volunteers, nominees, and organisations recognised today. The time, care, and dedication you give to others help make our communities stronger every single day. 💚

We are especially proud that our very own Pippa Ramsay who was nominated for the Older Volunteer of the Year Award.

Pippa has been part of Muddy Fork since the charity began, and her dedication, kindness, and willingness to support others are truly remarkable. She has a wonderful way of taking people under her wing, sharing her knowledge, building confidence, and making everyone feel welcome.

Alongside her work at Muddy Fork, Pippa has also given so much of her time through her involvement with the local U3A and other community activities. She constantly goes above and beyond for others without expecting anything in return.

Pippa, your hard work, generosity, and commitment have touched so many lives. We are incredibly lucky and proud to have you as part of the Muddy Fork family.

Muddy Fork want to say a huge thank you to the incredible volunteers who make a difference not just in Bassetlaw but all communities across the UK every single day.

At Muddy Fork, we know that none of what we do would be possible without our amazing volunteers. From helping maintain our growing spaces, supporting community projects, caring for our bees, sharing skills, and creating a welcoming environment for everyone – your time, dedication, and kindness make a real difference.

🍯🐝 Muddy Fork Honey 🐝🍯

Did you know Muddy Fork has always sold our own local honey? 🌼🌸

Our bees work hard in our community garden collecting nectar from local flowers and vegetable plants to create delicious, natural honey made right here in our local area. 💛

Many people love local honey not only for the taste, but also because it may help support the body during hayfever season by exposing you to small amounts of local pollen. 🌿🐝

🐝🌼 Happy World Bee Day from Muddy Fork! 🌼🐝

Today we’re celebrating our amazing little pollinators and all the incredible work they do for our planet. 💛

Did you know we have our own honey bees here at the Muddy Fork community garden? 🌷🌻🌹

On warm sunny days you can spot them buzzing in and out of the hives collecting pollen and helping our flowers, fruit and vegetables grow. 🐝✨

If you look closely, you may even spot the tiny pollen sacks on their legs as they return home from a busy day’s work! 🌼

Bees are so important to nature, food growing, and biodiversity — without them our gardens and wildlife would struggle. So today, let’s all take a moment to appreciate these hardworking little friends. 💛

🐝 Want to help bees? • Plant bee-friendly flowers
• Leave areas wild
• Avoid harmful pesticides
• Put out shallow water in warm weather

🌱 Retford wellbeing charity Muddy Fork has been chosen as Welbeck Abbey Brewery’s latest adopted good cause.

The brewery will donate 10p from every pint of its sustainability-focused beer, Raising the Dough, helping support Muddy Fork’s gardening and wellbeing work in the community.

👏 A fantastic partnership supporting local people and local causes.
