Sending Out Smiles. Sending Out Smiles (SOS) is a small (Very small) NGO that collects and
delivers humanitarian aid to the Convent of St Vincent de Paul in Gramsh Albania.

We are also involved with the AlbaniAid organisation based in Sheffield. I spent many years driving HGVs around UK and across Europe. Co-founder of the 'Sending Out Smiles' (SOS)organisation in 1990 sending over 80 Humanitarian Aid vehicles (mainly Articulated lorries) to Eastern Europe after the fall of Ceausescu the Romanian dictator. We were also in Bulgaria and Kosova during and after the Bosnian crisis. In 2004 I volunteered to the 'National Police Aid Convoys' and drove and worked with them till 2013 in Bulgaria and Albania when I was asked to help set up the 'AlbaniAid' group. I retired in 2014. My wife and I now collect and deliverer Aid privately to a convent, hospital and nursery in Gramsh central Albania having rekindled the old 'SOS' banner and using a variety of vehicles.
