We are delighted to invite you to the Peninsula Medical Foundation’s Glitz & Glamour Ball 2026, a spectacular evening of celebration and fundraising in support of brain tumour research in the South West. Join us for a night of A Night of Elegance, Entertainment & Purpose.

On 28th February, Stephen Wren will once again take on the Chichester Harbour Trail Run to complete a challenging 10‑mile route, running in loving memory of his daughter Tory Wren. He is raising funds to support vital Brain Tumour Research through the Peninsula Medical Foundation.

PMF is delighted to confirm that Alex Mead, who previously trained at the University of Plymouth, has accepted a fully funded PhD studentship and will begin in January 2026. 🧠 PMF Supports ICU Delirium Research
The Peninsular Medical Foundation is funding a genetic sub-study within the NIHR-backed DAYDREAM trial, led by Dr Jessie Welbourne and Prof Dan Martin.
The study compares daytime-only vs. continuous feeding in ventilated ICU patients to see if restoring circadian rhythm can reduce delirium. Recruitment begins in Plymouth and Southampton from Nov 2024.

The Peninsular Medical Foundation is supporting a sub-study of the NIHR funded DAYDREAM study, led by Dr Jessie Welbourne from the University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, and Prof Dan Martin from the University of Plymouth.
