Popped in some of my faves in black and white so you have to come along and see them in their real colour! 🎨

If you haven't made it along to the East Linton Annual Exhibition yet, it's off the charts good. The standard this year is unbelievably high, with oils, acrylics, soft pastels and even acrylic on aluminium, covering everything from Lothian coastline and woodland to still life and abstract work and there's a nod to the show's history with an original painting from the 1970 exhibition on display.

All pieces are for sale, so you might find something to take home. This isn’t just about raising money for the hall though, it’s for the community to come in and look at the talent and just have some peaceful meandering alone or with your friends. I find it quite meditative.

Saturday and Sunday are both 10am to 5pm, entry £1.

Since volunteering with East Linton Community Hall, I've gained a much greater appreciation of what it takes to run a business. With around 1,800 bookings each year, the hall involves everything from understanding income and expenditure, customer service and compliance, to working with a wide range of people. It's been an incredibly rewarding experience. Volunteering with the hall provides experience that's hard to get elsewhere all while supporting an important community asset.

Our community hall is at the heart of village life, but it relies on a small team of volunteers to keep things running smoothly.

Our key has snapped in the lock, so we’re waiting on a replacement, we’ve been told 10–15 days ( 😳🐢🦥 ).

In the meantime, regulars who normally let themselves in will need a hall keeper to open up. They’re covering between them, so everything should carry on as usual.
