We saw a social media post from Portland Vets in East Grinstead who were in need of blankets for the animals that they care for, especially those that may end up staying overnight following surgeries. We donated an array of super cosy blankets in different sizes!

✨ If you have any blankets, new or second hand that are in good condition - consider donating them to your local vets or animal shelter to keep our furry friends cosy!✨

- ‘We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of Foodbanks, supported by Trussell, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK’.

Since the EG Foodbank opened in 2012 the stats speak for themselves;
🔸328,000+ Kgs of food distributed
🔸23,294+ People fed
•

🎄Last Christmas (2025), we donated items in high demand directly to their main hub at the Jubilee Community Centre. Keep your eyes pealed for donation points across your local community in supermarkets, shops and business where you can drop items directly, to then be collected by volunteers ready to be distributed.

We kicked off January 2026 with a special toy donation drop to East Surrey Hospitals children’s appeal. Having unfortunately visited the children’s A&E department with my son Reuben late in 2025, I was super grateful for how quickly the paediatric doctors and nurses acted and the care that was given during our short stint in hospital. Whilst on the ward, we noticed the small selection of toys on offer and wanted to do something to enrich the hospital toy box and bring some joy to the children who sadly have to stay in hospital a lot longer to get fully better. We donated an array of bright, fun and educational toys which were distributed by the nurses and play specialist Janine (pictured) who said, ‘this is just what we needed for the babies being treated at the moment’.

Janine and the team provide specialist therapeutic and holistic services to support babies, children and young people. Their aim is to support children and young people’s hospital journey by creating positive experiences, allowing them to reduce anxieties, build resilience and improve wellbeing.

✨If you would like to donate items, please reach out to the team at ESH on [email protected] who can advise on what else is needed across the different wards/teams within the hospital✨

🎄This Christmas (2025), we donated boxes of biscuits and giant bags of tea bags to two wonderful charities who support individuals seeking a safe place for regular interaction and community.

First up, Renewed Hope who are based out of
Shrewsbury Chapel in Redhill, offer a warm and welcoming drop in Monday to Friday 11am-3pm to support the homeless, vulnerable and isolated to come together and chat, have a free meal and form new friendships.

Secondly, Andys Man Club Caterham is a men’s su***de prevention charity that want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health, offering free to attend support groups which run every Monday from 7pm. In these groups, men can simply turn up, and talk as much or as little in a judgement-free and non-clinical environment about the storms affecting their lives with no pressure.

This morning we popped into the ‘Toy Service’ being held at St Peter and St Paul’s Church in Lingfield in aid of Stripey Stork - who are a local baby bank that collect and redistribute baby and children’s items to families in Surrey and Croydon who are experiencing hardship, ensuring that they have the essentials they need.

We dropped off donations of our favourite childhood board and card games growing up, including UNO, Go Fish, Guess Who, Scrabble and more! 🎯🃏🧩🎲🐍🪜🛒❓👤⏳

✨If you would like to donate items, please reach out to the team at who can advise on what else they are in need of ahead of Christmas. You can also check out their website for more information on the work that they do and those they help within the community! ✨
