Tadiwa's story touched hearts across the country last night. 💛

On the BBC Children in Need Countryfile Ramble Special, Tadiwa spoke with incredible honesty about navigating life through and beyond cancer, and the challenges that came with it. 🍂

After missing out on so much of childhood, it was powerful to hear Tadiwa talk about what our adventures have given him: a place where he feels he belongs, friends who understand, the confidence to try new things, and the chance to make up for some of the experiences cancer took away.

From learning to drive a 45ft yacht to taking on the Countryfile Ramble challenge, Tadiwa has discovered just how much he's capable of.

His story is a powerful reminder of the difference friendship, connection and adventure can make. If you or a young person you know is navigating life through and beyond cancer, find out more about the support available on our website. 💙

Cancer can mean missing out on experiences many young people take for granted.

Kaitlyn was 17 when she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and returned for her second adventure this summer in Largs, Scotland. Reflecting on her time away, she shared:

“It was really good to go to new places.”

Safe to say, Kaitlyn will be back, and with plans to return next summer, she's already setting her sights on becoming a sailing pro:

“Being on the boat is so fulfilling and invigorating. Next year I'll come back like a pro.”

Tune in to BBC One at 5:25pm on Sunday 25 October to watch Tadiwa take on the BBC Children in Need Countryfile Ramble. 🍂

Filmed in the Peak District alongside presenter Joe Crowley, the programme follows Tadiwa as he takes on the Ramble challenge, with a few surprises along the way. We can't wait to watch it unfold. 📺

Natasha's exceptional determination to show the world what is possible is an inspiration to all.

This November, Isle of Wight sailing sisters Natasha and Rachel will take on an incredible challenge, sailing 3,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to Grenada to raise £30,000 for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, RNLI and Calvert Lakes.

Born with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, which affects the control of all her muscles and speech, Natasha sails using the Sip-Puff system designed by her father, Gary, allowing her to control the boat through her breath.

This challenge is especially meaningful following the loss of their mum, Amanda, to cancer in February 2026. One of Amanda's final wishes was for her family to continue exploring and showing the world what's possible.

We're incredibly grateful for their support and can't wait to follow the Sailing Sisters across the Atlantic.

The wait is over... Return Trip invites have officially landed!

If your child has been on an adventure before, now is the time to check your inbox and start thinking about their next trip. Invitations have now been sent to young people who are eligible for a return trip this year, and we can't wait to welcome familiar faces back for more friendship, laughter and unforgettable memories.

Travel volunteers play a really important role, accompanying young people as they travel to and from their adventures.

By being a friendly and reassuring face along the way, you can help young people feel comfortable, supported and excited about everything that lies ahead.

You might only be part of their journey for a short time, but the difference you make can be huge.
