🫂 Countless volunteers support those with dementia and similar conditions across our area.

👏 This Volunteers' Week, building on my work for a dementia-friendly constituency, I pay particular tribute to everyone who gives back and helps the most vulnerable in our community.

💫 Thank you to the formidable family and unpaid carers, dementia cafe caterers, prescription picker-uppers, brilliant befrienders, tireless transport drivers, selfless shoppers, Meals on Wheels maneuverers, charity shop coordinators, support group supervisors, and many more.

💙 So many local dementia services and initiatives - from the Shadwell Sweet Memories Cafe to the EDCCA Hub Club, or Boroughbridge to Kelcbar coffee mornings - would not be able to do what they do without you.

We’ve had a very busy morning at the Hub Club this morning. We made valentines cards and a hot air balloon gift with chocolates ❤️❤️
