We are delighted to confirm that Hestia and Twining have formally finalised their integration; to increase capacity and enhance the support they provide for people with mental health challenges. The partnership builds on each organisation’s shared approach of empowering people so they can lead their own recovery process.

The plan to join forces was first announced in February 2024, and since this time both organisations have worked closely together to create a smooth and successful integration for their staff, service users, partners and commissioners.

From today, Twining will be known as ‘Twining-Hestia’ to acknowledge the partnership, whilst also retaining Twining’s established brand in the employment support sector.

Oli Jacobs, Chief Executive at Twining-Hestia, said, “For over 30 years, we have been driven by an unwavering purpose - to improve wellbeing by empowering people with mental health challenges find and stay in fulfilling work. This integration will empower us to reach new heights together and support more people with complex needs in times of crisis through an expanded range of support services. We are looking forward to our first year officially working as one united organisation, jointly securing new contracts, delivering holistic support packages and publicly profiling our work together – all with the shared goal of delivering safety, hope and purpose to our service users.”

Michal* was in a difficult place mentally and emotionally after losing his previous job due to redundancy. The combination of job loss and mounting stress left him feeling stuck and overwhelmed, unsure how to move forward. His Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) referred him to Twining Enterprise, where he began working with Sanjay, his dedicated Employment Specialist. Sanjay helped Michal to identify and challenge the thoughts that were holding him back in the job-hunting process, encouraging him to focus on what he truly wanted in his career and life.

Christina* was let go from her previous role for reasons she did not understand, which caused her mental health to deteriorate. Despite what had happened, she really wanted to get back to work and was referred to Monika, her dedicated Employment Specialist. Monika supported Christina to look for work and use any rejections as learning points to make the next application even stronger. Christina was then offered two jobs at once!

The New Year often comes with an influx of social media posts - ranging from snapshots of happy celebrations to commitments to ambitious resolutions. While uplifting for some, these posts can feel isolating if you’re not in the mood for either.

We don’t want to overwhelm with yet another social post… but we would just like to say we hope this New Year is OK for you… and if it isn’t, and you need someone to talk to, there is support out there.

December is often filled with images of ‘happy’ faces enjoying magical moments and togetherness. However, these romanticised scenes often don’t reflect reality, and for many, this time of year can be challenging and isolating.
