We were buzzing to get a text from this guy yesterday letting us know he'd secured a hospitality job at his local supermarket, just a couple of weeks after finishing with us
🥳 Nice one Liam! You'll be a great asset

Love this picture from our Northallerton project where we're currently running a Hospitality skills course at New Life Baptist Church, Northallerton 💜
We're bringing people together on a Thursday & Friday to gain cookery confidence and support them on their first steps to (or back to) employment. There are over 1, 400 Hospitality establishments in Richmond and Northallerton contributing £149,507,797 to the economy... so it's a key sector to build skills for!
But - as you can see - confidence is grown out of connection. Reflecting over the morning's challenges and victories together... whilst enjoying the results!
That's our kind of training 😉

Here we go again! Whether you work for a referral organisation, you're a supporter of our work or you're just after some training to help you move forward, come along!

Their hubs are anchoring real change, giving people the practical tools to transform their lives. This partnership perfectly mirrors our values of supporting opportunity.”
Thanks again to The Bernicia Foundation for their generosity in supporting local adult learning and employability outcomes

Using training as a tool to build community is a BIG part of what we're about.
And to prove that's not just something we say, check out this week's Sunderland Learners...

Facing long-term unemployment can be isolating - so we think joining the dots between learning opportunities, social enterprise and neighbourhood action is a great shout. Right?
