Waythrough CEO Paul Townsley has commented on the latest publications from The Global State of To***co Harm Reduction on how to reduce smoking harms among people who use support services.

Two new publications from GSTHR focus on the potential of to***co harm reduction for people who use drugs, a group who smoke at rates far higher than the general population.

Paul said:
"Drug and alcohol services do great work, the evidence for this is clear: these are interventions that save lives...
To***co harm reduction is a valuable addition to the armoury to help people who have experienced drug problems to enhance their health and save lives."

We absolutely love seeing everyone get involved in Wear It Green Day during this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week! 💚

Mental health support isn’t here just for the week or day campaign of each year; it’s here all year round whenever you need it. 🤝

Mental health doesn’t care when it shows up; it doesn’t respect what you already have going on. Mental health struggles can appear at any time, and that's why it’s important to know that support is also available any time you need it.

Whether you speak to someone you trust, your GP, or seek further support, help is always there. 💚

If you’ve ever had a test, you’re already a hero in our eyes. 🦸

But what about your mate who hasn’t had a test? We can’t reach everyone who needs a hep C test on our own.

Bring them along to their local service or order them a home testing kit, and you might just save their life.

The involvement of volunteers at Manchester Road had a meaningful and visible impact on both the environment and the overall morale within the service. 💚

Our volunteers across Waythrough offer so much hope in the community.

During their visit, volunteers supported with painting communal areas, creating a more welcoming, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for residents.

📸 2-3 Louise and Keiran from 5 Ways (Forward Leeds recovery hub) run netball and football for everyone in recovery. "It's helped massively with anxiety". It promotes visible recovery and brings people together.

📸 4 - Enable Enfield - Our LERO Friends and Family group continues to go from strength to strength!
This is now every 2 weeks and is extremely well attended. This is run exclusively by volunteers.
