Durham Student Theatre Technical

Durham Student Theatre Technical DST Technical is part of DST, the union for drama at Durham University. As well as offering opportunities in all levels and varieties of Technical Theatre.

The society has an outstanding reputation for producing some of the UK's best student drama. DST Technical is a branch of Durham Student Theatre. As a society of Durham University DST acts as an umbrella for all the Durham University theatre companies and with Durham's theatre scene is unlike that of virtually any other university in the country that creates a lot of opportunities! DST Technical

looks after all those in the society not necessarily after treading the boards but more interested in rigging lights, creating sounds and moving set! Not only do we run regular training for our members we try to offer opportunities with professional in the business. By being DST Tech trained you also get a weekly email advertising opportunities to be involved with shows around Durham. DST technical is also one of the key members of DUST.

Northern Lights and Durham Dynamics are looking for techies for 'Pitch Durfect', an exciting acapella event in Collingwood's Mark Hillery Centre!

We are looking for:

- Sound Technician (will involve mixing 17 radio mics)
- Lighting Technician (needs to know how to use Collingwood's MAdot2 lighting desk)

This is an amazing opportunity to have lots of creative licence, work with live music, and play with Collingwood's incredible tech!

Applicants would need to be available to op for the performance on the evening of Saturday 19th February and as much of Friday 18th and Saturday morning as possible for get-in and programming.
