The Dunvegan Community Hall is available to any groups or individuals to hire when required.

A poignant theatrical work exploring melancholy through words, movement and music. The production centres on Bea, who discovers her husband’s infidelity and grapples with heartbreak while her neighbours – Sonia, Van, and Ian – silently struggle with their own emotional pain. A mysterious character named Lou may help them find solace.

We Will Hear The Angels examines the universal experience of heartbreak and the redemptive power of melancholy music. Through an intimate combination of text, live music, and movement, the production creates a space where audiences can reflect on loss, grief, and the quiet struggles we all carry.

Features music by Hank Williams, Orange Juice, Etta James, Moondog, and J.S. Bach.

SEALL Festival of Small Halls 2026

The Festival of Small Halls returns to Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh from 19 to 28 November 2026, bringing live music into some of the region’s best loved community spaces.
The festival brings touring musicians into village halls and small venues, creating intimate and memorable live music experiences for local audiences.
Alongside evening concerts and matinee performances, the festival includes school workshops, pub sessions and performances in care homes.

The 2026 festival will visit ten venues across Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh, including DUNVEGAN COMMUNITY HALL with the opening concert on THURSDAY 19th NOVEMBER.
Early bird tickets are on sale now, with general sale opening on 21 August.

Jimmy Hutchison, from Newburgh, is the subject of Trad Treasure which launched the 2026 Scotland’s Folk Film Gathering

Originally from South Uist, Jimmy is a highly respected tradition bearer known for singing bothy ballads and Scots Gaelic songs as well as a traditional handloom weaver.

We will be joined by Jimmy and fellow weaver Erica Douglas for an evening of film, music and chat.

We are delighted to announce that the Sports Hall now has a new roof. Thanks to Marc and his team at MH Steel for an amazing effort. Thanks to our neighbours Anne and Peter for letting them operate the "Tele-handler" from their garden. Thanks also to Dunvegan Community Trust for essential funding assistance and to our users for their understanding.

Angie the barber will no longer be coming to the Community Hall on alternate Mondays, She is changing to Wednesday every week. Give her a call to make your appointment. 07879 404368.

We are pleased to say that the contractor MH Steel is beginning work on replacing the Sports Hall roof next week. This will start Monday 10th. This will mean the Sports Hall cannot be used that week. We will keep you updated with progress and when use can continue. Thanks for your understanding. Thank you to Anne and Peter, our neighbours, for their assistance with this project.

Community Hall users are reminded that the premises will not be available Saturday August 1st to 8th inclusive. It's being used by the Clan MacLeod Gathering and Parliament. We hope the Sports Hall roof work will begin the following week. We'll keep you informed.

Hall painting (again)
Anyone feel like painting this now we have some dry weather. Also some to do inside. Shiny stuff to mop onto NM Hall floor too. We'll be there 12 onwards Thursday and Friday.
