Well today marks the end of the 2026 outdoor bowls season, and we would like to thank every one of our bowlers for all their support this year, we really appreciate it and we've made some great memories this year. A big thank you to our supporters too who are always at our games supporting our bowlers and the Club.
As you'll be aware that unfortunately, we were unable to play at our home green at Dunvant Park this year as the green was infested with a fungal disease and had to reschedule matches to another green to allow for a complete overhaul of our green. We would like to thank Swansea Bowling Club for allowing us to use their green this year, allowing us to play our home matches at their location as well as use of their facilities. We cannot thank you enough for being incredibly welcoming and accommodating with us this year, and this we'll always be grateful of.
Despite these challenges, we've had a great season welcoming Warminster Bowling Club , toured to Weymouth and made some fantastic friends, took part in the Welsh Lawn Bowls National Championships at Llandrindod Wells Bowls Club, won Swansea Bowling Association tournament competitions, just to name a few.
We would also like to thank Dorchester Bowls Club, Greenhill, Portland Borstal Officer's & Knowle Bowling Clubs for hosting us when we had our fantastic tour week in Weymouth. We had a great week away and made some great friends during this trip, and we look forward to returning to the Jurassic Coast in the future.
We cannot wait for next year’s session when we'll (fingers crossed!) move back to our home green at Dunvant Park. On behalf of everyone at Dunvant Druids Bowls Club, we wish you all the best of health and happiness during the winter months and look forward eagerly to seeing you all in April 2027.
