An NCT antenatal course helps you prepare for pregnancy, birth and the early days of parenthood.

You’ll explore and learn more about a wide range of topics – from what expect in labour and birth, to caring for your newborn, feeding your baby and adjusting to your new life as a parent.

It’s also a great opportunity to meet other expectant parents in your local area - to learn together, share experiences and build connections that often last well beyond the course. In fact, 95% of parents who attend our courses stay in touch with their NCT friends for years after having their baby!

You can book your course at any time, though most parents do so around 16 weeks of pregnancy. Our courses can fill quickly, so it’s a good idea to book early if you can. Booking early also means you'll have the option to spread the cost in monthly, interest-free instalments, making it easier to plan ahead.

Each course price covers two people, so you can attend with your partner, a family member or friend.

Support in the by donating to Lauren's fundraising page 💚 https://2026tcslondonmarathon.enthuse.com/pf/lauren-tai

"I'm a first time marathon runner and I’m running the London Marathon as part of Team Hasbro to support NCT in helping new parents feel less alone during a big and often overwhelming time."

By supporting Lauren in the marathon, you’re helping NCT continue being a companion and an ally for parents, offering evidence‑based info, local support, and a community that listens without judgement. Your generosity helps us dismantle barriers, reach families who need us most, and champion better, safer care for every parent. Together, we’re a force for change, making labour, birth, and early parenthood more confident, connected and supported for all.

This week in Parliament 📣 NCT Chief Executive, Angela McConville, attended two important events focused on safer, more equitable maternity and neonatal care.

💚 The APPG on safer staffing levels in maternity - a powerful session bringing together parents, parliamentarians, clinicians and charities to discuss the changes women and parents need.
💚 A screening and panel discussion of 22+1 hosted by the Health and Social Care Secretary Wes Streeting MP, exploring Black maternal health and bereavement care.

We wish a warm congratulations to Michelle Welsh MP on being re‑elected as Chair of the Maternity APPG. And, thank you to all contributors, organisers and families who shared their experiences.

At NCT, we’ll keep bringing parents’ voices into these rooms, and campaigning for care that is safe, inclusive and responsive.
