It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our original trustees Alan Laverock. Alan was with us from the start of our organisation until early this year when he retired to start to reduce his workload. Another fellow trustee said beautifully, ‘his passion for his work shone through’ he was dedicated to helping to iron out the inequality that exists in Malawi. He will be hugely missed by the community between our two countries that he helped so much to build.

A big thanks to Ross Saunderson of Polwarth Dental Clinic for his kind donation of dental equipment which we now have in the Bananabox Trust warehouse in Dundee. The equipment will be shipped in the next container to our colleagues in Malawi over the coming months.

We’ve just signed up for the Kiltwalk’s Mighty Stride on Sunday 26th April 2026 and are looking for others to join us on what is always a fun (if exhausting) day and a great opportunity to raise some funds to help improve oral health and dental services in Malawi.
