Volunteer at Bullochreg this September:
Help us map and shape a new woodland (while eating biscuits)
Join Bute Community Forest for a series of free practical mapping sessions at Bullochreg this September.
Together we’ll explore the site, record what’s already there, and help decide where trees, paths and open spaces might go.
Thursdays, 1–5pm
3 September: Beating the Boundaries, Mapping boundaries and access points
10 September: Nooks & Crannies, Mapping linear features
17 September: Places to Be & Do (or Avoid), Mapping important places and features
24 September: iNaturalist, Recording existing plants, shrubs and trees.

No experience necessary.
We’ll learn simple mapping tools as we go.

Please bring sturdy footwear, waterproofs, a warm layer, a snack, and a smartphone if you have one.

🚶‍♂️🏥 The Cowal GP Walk-In Centre is now open for longer!

From today, the service will be available every Thursday and Friday from 12 noon to 8 pm, with the final walk-in appointment available at 7.30 pm.

The walk-in centre provides access to same-day care and appointments are offered based on clinical need and available capacity.

✅ Open Thursdays and Fridays
✅ 12 noon to 8pm
✅ Last walk-in appointment at 7.30 pm

Please remember: 🔴 If you have chest pain, severe breathing difficulties, signs of stroke or severe bleeding, call 999 or attend A&E immediately.
