It's almost time again for Doors Open Day. We haven't opened for a few years for this.

This year, Mary Ann's Cottage will be opening from 12 noon till 4.00pm on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September. These openings are FREE....yes FREE, you don't pay anything to pay us a visit! Our volunteers would love to see you. Have a look at the Doors Open Day website below and see where else you could go to make a day of it!

A great visit on Wednesday afternoon from the ladies of Mid Clyth SWI. We had a lovely afternoon with them, and great to hear them reminisce about how a lot of what they saw reminded some of them of times gone by. Here is a picture of them outside the cottage, with Bob and Irene, 2 of our volunteers on the right of the picture.

You too could have a visit to the cottage. Are there any clubs or organisations out there who would like a visit? If so, please get in touch with us on here. And it doesn't have to be at our normal opening times, which are Tuesday to Friday, 2.00 to 4.30 pm.

A lovely walk down memory lane in auntie Mary Ann's house was what Della Calder said when she was in Scotland on holiday from Houston, Texas. She recalls sitting on the box bed as a child when she paid the cottage a visit, just like in the photo. It was lovely having you Della.

That's all the cleaning done and we're ready to open this Friday, 1st May. We'll be open Tuesday to Friday till the end of September, 2.00 to 4.30.

Looking forward to lots of visitors over the season. A big thank you to all our volunteers who have once again joined us for another season. However we are still looking for more volunteers to enable us to open more days. Private message on here to find out more, if you think you have a couple of hours during the week to spare. Please share.
