On this day, the 10th of May, we mark the 52nd anniversary and remember.

Bro. Brian Edmund Bell (29), a member of Dunmurry True Blues L.O.L. 1046, Derriaghy District L.O.L. No.11, who was a member of the R.U.C.

We remember in our thoughts and prayers the family circle, friends, and the Brethren who continue to feel his loss.

Today marks 52 years since Constable & Bro. Brian Edmund Bell of LOL 1046 and Constable Malcolm (John) Ross, a resident of Seymour Hill, were murdered when IRA gunmen ambushed their foot patrol at Finaghy.

Today we honour their memory and pay tribute to the courage and service of all those who stood in defence of our community during the darkest years of the terrorist campaign.

Today, on the 81st Anniversary of VE Day, County Antrim Grand Orange Lodge remembers with gratitude all those who served and sacrificed during the Second World War.

We honour the courage and determination of the generation who defended freedom and secured peace for future generations. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

It was a fantastic evening filled with great fellowship, plenty of laughs, and friendly competition. We are delighted to say that an enjoyable night was had by all.

Your support means a great deal to our lodge, and we appreciate everyone who came along and helped make the event such a success.

Her lifelong service remains an enduring example of dedication and leadership.
