As part of the 20th Anniversary of Cookstown Multiple Sclerosis Help and Support Group are inviting you to an Information Night on
Wednesday 20th November 2024
in the Royal Hotel, Cookstown.
The talk will start at 7pm sharp.

The headline speakers for the evening will be Nurses Brenda Hamill and Martina McKenna who are the appointed Multiple Sclerosis Nurses for the Northern Trust. They will be talking about the latest developments in multiple sclerosis treatments and services in NI and will be available for questions.

The last Information Night was in 2017, and all those at that very well attended talk were delighted with the event.

The event is free and everyone with an interest in Multiple Sclerosis is welcome. Tea and light refreshments will be served.

Imtac is currently running a survey seeking the experiences of Deaf, disabled and older people travelling to and from health services. They will use the results of the survey to inform discussions between people impacted and people who design and run health and transport services.

They have had over 400 responses to date. The survey will close at 11.59pm next Monday 18th November. Please share the link below and encourage anyone you think may be interested to complete before the deadline

𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬🚌🏥

The Inclusive Mobility and Transport Advisory Committee (Imtac) has today launched a survey looking for the experiences of Deaf, disabled and older people in travelling to and from health services. The findings of the survey will be used to develop a report which will be used to engage with health service providers, transport providers and policy makers to try and identify potential improvements and solutions.

We are also delighted to announce our Magherafelt office will open on Fridays from 10am to 12noon.

We are delighted to announce that our new branch in Magherafelt will be opening on Wednesdays from 10am to 3pm. We hope to expand on these days in the coming months.

The service will be available at Unit 34 Meadowlane Shopping Centre, Magherafelt Equipment will be available for daily or long term borrowing. Mobility scooters and manual wheelchairs are available.

We are delighted to re-establish this service that was previously managed by Seamus Davey and we hope to continue with all the great work he did for the community.

We ask that you pre-book equipment in advance by calling Helen on 07548 478 306.

BALMORAL SHOW
Our Gobility project in partnership with Shopmobility Lisburn are providing mobility scooters and wheelchairs at the Balmoral Show from Wednesday 15th to Saturday 18th May 2024. We are fully booked up for mobility scooters on the Thursday and Friday, but have some space for wheelchairs. We currently have some availability for mobility scooters on Wednesday and Saturday, but these spaces are filling up quickly. Please contact our booking line 07548 478 306.
