Here are some pictures from our book launch in Belgrade which took place on the 8th of April this year (2026). The launch took place at the Europian Centre for Roma Art and Culture in Belgrade and was attended by luminaries from all walks of life, but perhaps most importantly we had many of the contributors to the book present at the launch which was a great honour for both the writers and the audience. The book, which is a collection of new stories based on the experiences of the Roma community in Serbia, has been hailed as a cultural icon as this is the first time a Roma woman has had her own stories published in both Roma and Serbian. The book has also been registered and archived in the Serbian national library for everyone to view.
We at Sporting Hearts would like to take this opportunity to thank all the contributors to the book and all those wonderful people who tirelessly give their time and energy to make this project happen.
