🏇 ONE WEEK TO GO. THIS IS YOUR FINAL FRIDAY TO FRIDAY! 🎟️

We are officially into the final week before Dunfermline Round Table’s Race Night, happening next Saturday 12th September at Abbeyview Bowling Club!

If you’ve been saying “I’ll get my tickets later”, later has arrived. 😂

We’ve already had a brilliant response, with 70+ tickets sold, and now we’ve got one final Friday to Friday push to get the room packed for what should be a cracking night.

We also have two more fantastic local businesses to thank for getting behind the event:

⛰️ FANCY DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT THIS SATURDAY?

This Saturday we’re heading out to tackle Ben Vorlich and Stùc a’ Chròin, and if you’ve been thinking about coming along to Dunfermline Round Table, you’re more than welcome to join us. 🥾

Don’t worry if you don’t know anyone. You don’t need to be a member, and you definitely don’t need to be some sort of mountain climbing expert. Just bring your boots, a bit of determination and a willingness to give it a go.

That’s what Round Table is about. Getting out of the house, saying yes to things you might not normally do, and doing them with a good group of people.

You might arrive not knowing anyone. By the end of a day walking two Munros together, we’re fairly confident that will have changed. ❤️

🏇 70 TICKETS SOLD... BUT WHAT ACTUALLY IS A RACE NIGHT?! 😂

First things first, a massive thank you to Amplify Aesthetic and The Retreat Rituals for joining our growing list of Race Night sponsors! ❤️

The support from local businesses has been absolutely brilliant, and with 70 tickets already sold, it looks like Abbeyview Bowling Club is going to be packed on Saturday 12th September! 🔥

But we’ve had a few people ask us...

What actually happens at a Race Night?

Don’t worry, we haven’t somehow squeezed eight horses into the bowling club. 🐎😂

Throughout the evening, we’ll show a series of prerecorded horse races on the big screen. Before each race, our bookie will reveal the horses and the odds, then it’s over to you to decide which magnificent beast is definitely going to make you rich.

Place as many or as few bets as you fancy, cheer on your horse, question every decision you’ve ever made when it finishes last, and if you back the winner, the bookie pays out! 💷

The best bit is that while there will be winners and losers on the track, the evening itself raises money for the Dunfermline Round Table Charitable Fund SCIO, which allows us to continue supporting good causes in our local community. ❤️

And it’s not just the racing. Your ticket includes a buffet, we’ve got a DJ, raffle and prizes, and it’s completely family friendly.

🏓 PICKLEBALL, NEW FACES AND A VISITOR FROM DOWN SOUTH!

Last Thursday we headed to Carnegie Leisure Centre for our latest activity, this time trying our hand at pickleball.

There was plenty of questionable technique, a healthy amount of competition and, most importantly, another really good night with the boys. 😂

We were also joined by two new prospective members giving Dunfermline Round Table a go for the first time, alongside a fellow Tabler, Michael, visiting from Leamington Round Table .

And that last bit is something pretty special about Round Table.

Round Table is an international club, which means being a member gives you a network that stretches far beyond Dunfermline. If you are travelling somewhere new, whether that is elsewhere in Scotland, across the UK or around the world, look up the local Table and say hello.

Chances are you will find a group of guys ready to welcome you along to an activity, grab a drink or show you around.

Instant friends, wherever you go. 🌍❤️

That is something we have experienced ourselves at national events, and last Thursday we got to return the favour here in Dunfermline.

The activities might get you through the door, whether that is pickleball, archery, hillwalking, weekends away or something completely ridiculous, but the friendships are the reason you keep coming back.

And we are already onto the next one...

Does your man need a software update? 😂

Maybe his social life is running a little slowly. Perhaps there’s excessive sofa usage. Maybe he’s been saying “yeah mate, we should catch up sometime” for the last seven years.

Perhaps it’s time he discovered Dunfermline Round Table. 😉

We’re an events social club for guys aged 18 to 45 who want to get out more, meet new people and actually do things.

One week we’re playing pickleball, the next we’re climbing a mountain. Throw in archery, cricket, BBQs, weekends away, national events, trips and the occasional questionable decision along the way.

And you absolutely do not need to know anyone before you come along. Two new guys came along to pickleball this week and got stuck straight in.

🐞 BUG FIXES MAY INCLUDE:

“I’ll just stay in tonight...” loop resolved.
Excessive sofa usage reduced.
“I don’t really know anyone around here” error fixed.

One of the best things about Dunfermline Round Table is that there is always something else coming up.

We’re an events based men’s social club, and roughly every other week we’re getting together to try something different, get out of the usual routine and have a laugh with a good group of people.

And the next few weeks are looking pretty good... 👀

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 STRANGERS ON FRIDAY. OLD FRIENDS BY SUNDAY. ❤️

This weekend Dunfermline joined fellow Tablers from across Scotland for the Round Table Scottish Membership Weekend, and it was another reminder of just how much bigger this club is than your own town.

Falkirk. Aberdeen. Linlithgow. Troon. Peebles. Newton Stewart. Carrick. Dunfermline. Carrick Round Table Roon Table

Different Tables. Different parts of Scotland. Plenty of people meeting for the first time.

Yet within hours, you’re laughing together, taking the p**s out of each other and getting ridiculously competitive over retro arcade games. 🎮😂

That’s the thing about Round Table. The activity is almost secondary.

The workshops have their purpose. The arcade games were brilliant. But the people are what matter.

You can turn up knowing almost nobody and leave with mates across Scotland who’ll welcome you like they’ve known you for years.

Round Table gives you your local group of mates, but it also opens the door to a much bigger network of people, events, weekends away and experiences across the UK and beyond.

It genuinely might be the best men’s club in the world. 🌍

People across Dunfermline you do something for me?

Look to your left ...... then to your right ...... is there a young lad in your house aged 18-44 that's looking bored out of his skull knowing that Love Island All-stars is on again tonight?

Get him out to one of our events happening EVERY OTHER WEEK including but not limited to:
Axe throwing
Rock climbing
Fire walking
Dodgeball
Disc (Frisbee) Golf
Butchery night
White Water Rafting
And many, many more

He'll make new friends and come back tired and stimulated from the evenings play, full of street food and beers and his behaviour is sure to improve in the following weeks.

Every year we're privileged to support local charities, community groups and individuals who are making a real difference across Dunfermline and the surrounding area.

Could that be you?

Whether you're raising money for a local project, supporting vulnerable people, improving community spaces, helping young people, or doing something else that makes our community better, we'd love to hear from you.

To apply, simply email [email protected] today with:

✅ Who you're applying on behalf of.
✅ The amount you'd like to apply for.
✅ What the donation will be used for.

Successful applicants will be invited to join us on Friday 25th September to give a short, informal presentation about their project.
