We’re throwing a birthday party for Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs… and you’re invited!

On the 18th - 20th September at Fordell Firs, Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs from across Scotland will celebrate together for a national weekend of adventure, camping and celebration.

We’ll be celebrating some big milestones:

🔴5 years of Squirrels
🔵40 years of Beavers
🟢110 years of Cubs

Young people will take part in a programme of outdoor adventure, creative activities and traditional Scouting skills, with plenty of birthday celebration moments along the way.

Cubs and Beavers will enjoy a residential camping experience, and Squirrels will attend for a Saturday daytime adventure.

🚨Applications will open Monday 23rd March and close Friday 1st May.

The Howling team has taken the difficult decision to take a break this year and give the team time to rest and recharge.

The Howling is brought to life by a small and incredibly dedicated team of volunteers and they want to be able to continue delivering the amazing event you know and love well into the future. We know this will be disappointing but they plan to return refreshed and ready to make 2027 the biggest and best yet.

In the meantime, there’s still plenty for Cubs to look forward to! Why not explore ScotJam Cubs this summer - a fantastic camp which brings Cubs from all over Scotland together for adventure, friendship and fun.

And that’s not all… there's some exciting announcements in the pipeline about even more opportunities for Cubs later in the year, so keep your eyes peeled!
